    I married my wife outside the country, she is now here in the usa on a k-3 visa. I am now applying for the i-485 for her, I need help on Part 2 the Application Type. What do I check? A or B? Please Help. Thank you

      It would be easier to answer if you were to paraphrase what exactly Part 2 says.............your questions assumes that familiarity with the form.....

        Part 2. Application type. (Check one.)

        A.) an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has beenapproved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile orspecial immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you animmediately available visa number, if approved.)

        B.) my spouse or parent applied for adjustment of status or was granted lawful permanent residencein an immigrant visa category that allows derivative status for spouses and children.

          Part A. Also, its her application not yours on he rbehalf so ensure she and not you sign the form

              ..Just what it says. You would tick it if your parent or spouse got a GC and youre riding on their application.
