Does filing for greencard thru marriage to US CITIZEN have any priority dates? I thought it was always current.

i just got denial letter for 485 saying that priority date is not current.

hmmm...it could be an error...Visa numbers are immediately availble to immediate relatives of US citizens.....did you check to see whether it was really your application?. Are you eligible to file a I-485?. Because your emarried to a USC does not necessarily mean that you are.

Forgive me for jumping in but I dont understand what you mean when you say that that you one isnt necessarily eligible to file for a I485 is you marry a USC. Could you please explain circumstances where one would be ineligible? I understand cases where one is ilegally in the country, etc. are there any other cases?

if you entered EWI then youre not eligible
