  • Need Help 2nd interview

I am married to a US citizen, i had my first interview a couple of months back, i thought it went well, the officer didnt ask us many questions but i could feel that he didnt like us, i am from a middle eastern country and my wife is african american so we do look a little odd, but we love each other and we are a genuine couple.
I am scared what they are going to do in my next interview, i submitted all the pics from our wedding, bills, letters from friends, rental agreement.... so i dont know why they are calling us for a 2nd interview. What happens if i miss a question are they going to deny us, if they do deny us what is the next step and what are my chances. Me and my wife are really nervous. But if they approve it will i get the temp GC right away or will they review my case and give a decision latter.
    Please help

Denial and approval are not based on whethe ryou get every single answer 'correct". They look at several factors together . Also even if the officer susupects that its a fraud marraige but your doucmentation and the interview do not give him anyhting to support his suspicion, theres nothing he can do but to approve. Dont be nervous. But whatever you do, dont lie, even if it puts you in a bad light. If you dont know or remember something, just say I dont remember. if you were working iilegally and they ask you or your wife if and where you were working, tell the truth..it wont affect your case that you were working illegally. Just relax and be truthful and carry eevry single piece of paper that show sthat you hav e alife together. if you can afford it, hire an attorney , just to go with you to the interview.

If youre approved, you wont get the actual card right away. Some offices will stamp your passport while others will ask you to wait for the card in the mail. Also, whethe ror not youre approved that day will alsod epne don whethe ror not your background check has been completed. It ususally takes a bit longer for middle eastern applicants.
