Rfe I-864

Hello,
Not sure how to proceed. hope someone has some input?

My husband came here on a fiance visa in July. We got married in Sept. and promptly filed for i-485.
He had his appt set for fingerprints in Nov. We got that done.

Then just yesterday we received a RFE, blue cover sheet.
The request says only :

"Affidavit of Support (form i-864).
If the primary sponsor or the petitioner cannot meet the income requirement, he or she may submit one of the following." And it continues to explain what to do when filing joint sponsor, etc.

My confusion is this: I submitted an affidavit, i-864 already with the 485, however now i realize i did not get it notarized. is this why they are requesting another OR is it because my last tax returns showed i did not meet the income requirement, because it is only in 2006 that i finally got out of school and began my fulltime work. i submitted my contract to show that Now i certainly meet the income requirement, but is it not stable enough?
should i resubmit the affidavit again with just my info, this time notarized, or just get my parents to joint sponsor my husband, as they did when he came on a fiance visa?
I wish they made it clear exactly why i need to redo an i-864. any thoughts?

I don't think you need to notarize the I-864, its not required but you need to have tax return with the required income otherwise you need a joint sponsor.

You need to show income of125% more than porverty line. For 2 people's family it would be roughly 17000. You need to show that you made this much in your last year's tax return and your pay stub for this year should show that you have made about this much as this year is ending too. If you think you can't make it then you will need a co-sponser.
