Working for company B while processing 485 from company A

I am working for Company A & they are sponsoring my GC. I have filed my 485 about 8 months back.

Now, I have recieved an offer from Company B, Can I consider working for 'B' while the GC process is still in progress.

Any thoughts ????

I think based on 180 days portability rule you can do that, provided that:
1. Same job description
2. Same area
3. Same pay
4. report change of employer to INS
5. New company should be willing to sponsor your GC
6. Remember use your EAD; DO NOT apply for a new H-1

4 and 6 are not matching with my profile

1. I changed the job after 10 months of I485 filing
2. Same area-Yes
3. Same pay - No 5k less
4. Didn't report to INS about job change
5. My new company ready to take over GC but seating idle since Jan 2003.
6. I didn't remember to use EAD and nex company filed my H1 - approval recived 3 months back

Attorney of new company said, I am good to go.
They will inform INS about job change only if any notice come from INS

Notice date (i485) - march 22nd 2002

any thoughts???????
