  • GC Interview

    Hi,

I went on my GC interview since September 13th.

I have not heard anything from USCIS as yet.

Can anyone tell me what I can or should do at this stage.

At my interview the interviewer ask my husband and I a lot of questions and at the end of it I ask her what is the next step and she said they will be an investigation.

    I would appreaciate your feedback.

I guess the investigation is not yet complete. All you can do is to write nad ask what is the status. Sometimes that trigger some action.

      Hi,
I'm writing because I was in the same situation. I didn't get approval right away after the interview. The officer told us to wait for her decision. I waited 2, 5 months and (in my case) I got RFE letter by the mail. Its request for more documentation, they asked for more proof to show that we got married from love. I had one month to complete the request. I sent the needed docs and I got my GC approved 3 weeks later.Good Luck and don't stress out to much!

One more thing, you should try to call them on the 1800# and talk to the CCD and also get a attorney. I got the attorney after my interview. I paid $400 because the case was almost over .He sent the request letter to the USCIS to check on my case. They have 30 days to respond and they did.

That is a good idea. I have been living in the states for over 5 years and initially came down as a TN. I met my wife here and we got married about a year or so ago. We have been going through the whole process now and we had our green card interview way back in Sept. Apparently, they lost my wifes I-130 form and we have not heard anything since that day. I do have a lawyer who calls the local office frequently but they dont have any information for him. I guess the best thing to do is just to wait it out, be patient and maybe send a letter out to them.

I personally do not care though. Its been such a frustrating process for us both that I am seriously thinking of just throwing the towel in and moving back to where I really want to live...Canada.
