  • Notice to appear for ADIT processing after Stamping

    Hello friends,
Has anyone received Notice from INS to appear for ADIT processing even after Passport stamping?
If so, what is your experience?
Also if your are getting Unemployment Benifits, will there be any adverse impact on the case?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sunita

I am not sure what do you mean by ADIT processing. If you have I-551 stamp(after approval of your AOS application), it's good for a year and after that you have to go back and get another stamp to extend it for another year. As for unemployment benefit, It's not considered a public charge as your employer paid for it while you were employed. Therefore it should not be an issue.

      Thanks,

my hubby and kid got plastic, but not me, the primary

        I'm the primary applicant.
My husband is dependant on me.
We all got our passport stamped in Oct 2002.

My hubby and kid got their plastic in May 2003.
To me they send a letter on may 6th-03 saying that I have to reappear for fingerprint and signature as my signature did not match with that on 485 application.

On May 16 2003 I went to local INS office and gave fingureprint ans signature again.

One month has past since then. But so far no status changed.

Should I talk to INS officer?

Would they revoke my Hubby and kid's GC?

        Please help me out.

          ADIT processing

What this means is that something was wrong with the origina blue form (called an I-89) that had your fingerprint and signature on it. Either the fingerprint was smudged or the signature was ilegible. Either way it doesn't matter.

Your status as a permanent resident is unaffected. It just means that they need to get a new form filled out with a good signature and fingerprint so they can produce your plastic card.
