    Hi Friends,
I have a quick question. I checked the online status for my I-485 application and it says `Card Production Ordered'.
What does that mean. Does it mean that my I-485 has been approved.
Any comments will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

      I-485 query

      Thanks Chrisusa,

I have already received my EAD card. a week back. When I checked online with my I-765 #, it said that on Jan 18 they had mailed my EAD card. This I have already received. So that is OK

Now when I checked abt my I-485 with the 485# they say that on Jan 26 the had `Card Production Ordered'. Are they still taking abt the I-765 or the I-485. It seems unclear.

      What do you think??

      Thanks.

          Re:

Please give some more details of you case history and status so that I can answer your question better. If you have already received your EAD card a week ago maybe one of two things have transpired with your "Card Production Ordered" email. Either USCIS was late in sending you the email regarding the card approval and order or it is really your Green Card they are talking about.

USCIS is sometimes late with updating online info and sending emails so that may be the case. However, I cant say for sure if its your green card because I would need to know other details of your case like the category in which you filed your I-485, etc before I can make a more concrete determination. Please provide and I may be able to give more substantive answers.

If you have already gone for the interview, then yes, it would be your GC. Your I-765 and I-485 would ahve two different numbers so there is no overlapping when you check. Whicever receipt number you put in, thats the case update

              Interesting stuff

              My application was through EB2.
              Dec 22, 06 - submitted I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131 concurrently. I also paid for premium processing of the I-140.

              9 day later - 140 approved.(i.e 3 or 4th Jan 07)
1 week later I-765 approved. Went for Biometric on 18 Jan.
Received EAD on 18 jan 07.
This morning I when I checked my case online with the I-485# it said `Card Production Ordered'.

So is it time to purchase the `Bubbly' or is it only some quirk of the system

By the way, I have not been asked to go for any interiew. As you may be aware not everone is asked to go for interviews.
                Thanks

No interview...could this possibly be because you obtained immigrant status via an I-140 (employer sponsored) versus an I-130 (relative sponsored)? It is my understanding that everyone going for AOS via the I-130 needs to go through the interview process unless they've been married for 2+ years.

Congrats by the way. Immigration/GC via employment sponsorship isn't the easiest route.

                    I-485 approval

                    Hi Rene,

You are right. My application was an employment based one (EB2). I have already received my I-485 approval letter. I have been very lucky. From the time I simultaneously sent in the I-140, I485, I765, I131, it took the whole of 5 weeks to get all approved (except I131) including the fingerprinting. Is'nt that amazing?

As they say, in Life, Love & Green-Card, besides effort, one needs a healthy dose of Good Luck to get the desired outcomes.

So Rene, I wish you the best and hope that you get waht you need soon.

                    Cheers, Bro
