I-485 receipts

Hi,

My and my wife's I-485 were filed at the same time - June 6, 2003.

While my I-485 receipt was received on June 16, my wife's receipt has yet not arrived. I am not sure why this is so? Is there anything I or my lawyers can do from our end to get hold of her receipt.

I-485 receipts

Normally INS/BCIS will mail the receipts anywhere between 1 week to 6 weeks. So, nothing to worry. You can also get the receipt number from the bank cheque (Backside of the cheque) if the cheque is encashed.

I received a request for evidence (?) or more information on my I-485 case. My lawyer will be sending the package to Vermont SC sometime this week. Any idea how long it takes the BCIS to respond?
