Hi,
I came to US as H4 visa and it got expired on Jan 10 2007. But I have my Green card process in the middle and I have my Advance Paroel for travel and EAD cards as a work permit. I wanted to take a driving written test at and they doesn't allow me to take since I don't have a valid visa on my passport. Again they don't understand why I have this EAD. They ask me to bring any document that say "current Visa status" which is valid and they can consider that as visa. So I took 485 and again they say this is again adjustment status and doesn't show your current visa now. So basically they don't understand this whole concept and they asked me to bring some more documents that says clearly that I have a valid VISA.
Does anybody know if I can get from some where( like INS or...??) any sort of documents that explains I have a valid visa now to stay in US and that's why I have EAD?
Please try to help me with this if you know about this....
