My husband and I are applying for a green card for me, based on our marriage. He is a US citizen, I am from Great Britain. We sent off the application in January and it got a priority date of 19th January (since it is marriage based).
We have been sent a date for fingerprints (next Wednesday) and a date for the initial interview. We have not even heard back regarding the I-130. I was assuming that needed to be accepted before my I-485 could be processed. The were submitted together. Am I incorrect?
Also, is the initial interview THE interview? That is, following that interview, if all goes well, do I get a Green Card, or are there other mandatory interviews?
