Biometrics appointment letter received only for primary applicant - not spouse

Immigration gurus,

I had my fingerprinting done for my I-485 last week - but my wife has yet to be called for the biometrics appointment even though our I-485s were filed at the same time back in December. Would it help if I were to call the USCIS and request them to schedule her biometrics appointment ?

Has anyone been in such a situation in the past?

Please advise.
