  • Re: AOS, EAD and advanced Paroler

    Dear Gurus,

I have to file for AOS< EAD and Advanced parole. My company will sponsor me for them but I will have to pay for my spouse.

My question to the gurus is

    For Myself
    1. Should I just file for AOS and EAD and an H1 extension. My H1 expires on Aug 14th, 2007 and I have 2 more years left. My reason is typically it takes 6 months for the gc from the day it is filed and we are not planning any travel in the next six months.

    Fo my spouse
    1. SHould I file for AOS only. She is on F-1 and that expires on May 31. She does not have a permanent job so we can get her on H-4 and then she can look for employment once the gc arrives.
    2. SHould I file for AOS, EAD and AP for her to be on safer side and not worry about the expenses. The expense is estimated at $1450 for these 3 using our company lawyers.

I am currently leaning towards filing for AOS and EAD for myself, an H- 1 extension AND AOS for my wife and an H-4. Can someone please let me know if this is too risky and I should stick with the conventional, which is file for AOS< EAD AND AP for both of us. Also, if you can talk about the pros and cons that will be great.

    Thanks for your help

    Sakiv
