My I-140 was filed on 02/25/2005 under the EBI category.And my i-485 , filed on 07/25/2005 is pending and well past due / processing date.
USCIS is keeping me busy asking to furnish Proof of Parentage which I submitted on 10/18/2006.After two months got passed , I contacted USCIS only to know that Visa number is not available.When I got back to them saying Visa numbers seem to be available for the EB1 Category they sent me a finger-printing notice on 01/19/2007.Surprising they havent sent finger print notice for my wife though.
Upon me writing a letter to them requesting for a status they sent me a letter saying "my application is undergoing through various checks".What got me worried was a line "please contact us on....if you dont hear from us in six months " ?
Has anyone been through similar situation ? Does anyone know whats up with I-485 applications at NSC and if anyone has gotten it approved recently ?
Also will Nebraska service center directly approve my 485 or will they sent my files to local office in St Paul and then ask to me appear for interview ?
