RFE - Need your expert help!!!

Both me and my wife are in our final stage (I-485) stage of GC processing. Our Priority are current and our processing dates became current recently as well. I got the below notification by email for both me and my wife's applications. What does this mean? Is is something to panic abt?

TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: We mailed you a notice requesting additional evidence.

On February 21, 2007, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence
and/or information in this case. Please follow the instructions on the
notice to submit the evidence and/or information requested. This case
will be held in suspense until we either receive the evidence or the
opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the information and/or
evidence requested, you will be notified by mail when a decision is
made, or if the office needs something further from you. If you move while
this case is pending, call customer service.

The specific request for information is very likely in the mail and you should receive it in 7 days or so. Provide them with exactly what they ask for.

Thanks for your reply, Rene. Since both me and my wife are getting the RFE's on the same day, would they contents they are requesting in the mail likely to be the same as well?

Also, is it normal to get RFEs?

What is the basis for your AOS if both you and your wife submitted AOS paperwork? If you each got RFE notices, then the RFE's could be for the same thing or something completely different. I don't know how common RFE's are but I received one regarding financial support from my sponsor (wife). As soon as I sent them the info they wanted, my case proceeded, I got my EAD and an interview appointment.
