  • St. Paul Interview - Approved Green Card

    Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that I had my interview yesterday in ST. Paul, MN and they approved my GC. They asked us some questions from the application, how we met, how long ago, how many time I have been in the States and the only documents we gave him were lease agreement, tax return and family plan phone bill. I had so much more to give him but the officer only asked for that.
The USCIS Officer was polite and nice, not overly frindly but WE had a great experience, further from scary.
I did not get a letter right away and they didn't stamp my passport.
Good luck to all of you!!!

They had the application I sent and they asked us about that, they asked all the same questions and I suppose you have to get them right as you wrote on the I-485. I gave them 3 things, do you filed taxes together? The guy didn't even look at any of them, he just filed them. He will just ask you to leave your documents with him that's why you need copies, they don't even look at the originals (in my case).
Let me know if I can help some more.
      Good luck!

        Hello,

Thank you so much for your reply. what documents did you leave with him? Will they need the recent W2 of my sponsor?
Exactly how many questions they asked you?
We have only 3 things that has our name together. Bank account, tax and Lease.
What about your attire? how did you guys dress?

        Thanks....

I left copy of our lease contract, last year taxes & copy of phone bills with family plan.

They didn't ask me for that but I had it, I will recomend you take it
Exactly how many questions they asked you?
He asked my pretty much all the same questions as in the I-485 appl (I don't know how many they were). Beside he asked me about my relationship with my husband and how and when we met. Also how many time I came to the States before.
We have only 3 things that has our name together. Bank account, tax and Lease.
I will say this could be enough but take also everything that will show your relationship with your spouse
What about your attire? how did you guys dress?
          We wore formal clothing
          Thanks....
          I hope this can help

                    Hi HnL,

My interview was fine, for about 30mins......It was last month, but obviously it's on PENDING status based on FBI check. She asked my wife to come first, then she came to get me. she asked most of the questions to my wife then some to me. basically reviewing the questions from the FORMS......Make sure youhave copies w/you for your own record..
If you are not sure about something, do ask for clarification before you answer.
she seemed friendly. took my DL, passport, EAD. but returned those. she only kept my old EADs. she also made copies of our photos, lease and bank statment.

dont worry. just make sure all the documents they have asked are organized in the order it was printed. It may sound silly but they go by that list. so if they ask you to have i-485 first, then i-693, you need to sort it that way.

                    Good luck.... give honest answers.
