  • putting together I-485 package

    Hi,

We are now at the moment of putting together our package for the Chicago lockbox:

    1. I-485
    2. I-130
    3. G325-A
    4. I-864; and
    5. I-765
    6. All supporting docs, photos (five for me; 1 for my husband - the USC), fees etc.

Does anyone have any tips on filing? Should the I-130 be the first form they see?

Do I need to file copies of the G-325A with the I-130 AND the I-485, or will one set of G-325A forms suffice?

Do I need to photocopy my whole passport or just the first pages (biographical info) and entry stamp?

Any little tips like how to secure the photos, make things look neater, easier to read etc would be most appreciated!

    Thanks!!

    Hello,
Why are you not including i-693 (medical exam form)? They will ask for it later and it may delay your application.....~

The I-130 be the first form. There are 2 sets of G325A form. One for I-130 and one for i-485. Please note that there are 4 pages of each G325A. so don't forget to attach all 4-pages.....

You will need to photocopy the first 5-7 pages passport (biographical info) and entry stamp....

You will also need Police Certificates as well from all the cities you have lived in the last 5 years....

I had put pictures and money order/CHecks using a paper-clip carefully so that the pictures dont' get crease...

just make sure you have copies of EVERYTHING.

    GOOD LUCK....

Why is that that they need police clearance from cities they use to live. I thought that was only needed if FBI is unable to read the fingerprints twice.

I lived in 2 cities and submitted it either way. have you lived in multiple cities in the last 5 years? you may call them or visit the local office about it. As far as I know Police Clearance is required for every city you have lived, at least 6 months I think.
