HELP: no fingerprint notice 4 months after I-485

My I485 receipt date is Nov 2006, in TSC. Now, I still have not got the fingerprint notice. Is this normal???? How should I call and find out. I spent 10 minutes on phone today, and couldn't get to speak to a human!! *_*

Call them again.. you should have gotten a fingerprint notice right away. talk to one of the representatives or get a lawyer.

make an info pass and visit your district office asap. bring copies of your Receipt. print out a copy from the website as well, the status check page.

Go to http://www.immihelp.com/timings/tracking.jsp and set yourself up a 'Customer' account. You'll need the receipt numbers from the I-485 receipt notice to do this, but you'll be able to tell what the status of your filing is online.

In my case, I was able to figure out that they'd sent my fingerprint letter but I received it late.

Alternatively, you can use Infopass to set yourself up with an 'Ask a question about my case' appointment at your local USCIS office. Again, I think you'll need your receipt number for this. You just show up with your receipt notice and ask them what is goind on.
