Adjusting status to become a state resident other than our current resident state.

Hello,

I am in the US and about to marry my fiance. I arrived to the US on an alien fiance visa. I am currently living in Ohio with my fiance. My fiance and I plan to move to a different state (probably NY) within the next three months. After Marriage I have to adjust my status to become a permanent resident. My question was if it would be possible to adjust my status to be a NY state resident immidiately?

It does not matter in what state you reside, since you do not adjust status to become a resident of specific state you adjust status to become a resident of US
