I have applied for AOS on 25th Nov 2006 on the basis of marriage to USC. I had my finger print on 14th Dec 2006 and I received my EAD on 28th Jan 2007. But since then nothing has changed. I am still waiting for an appointment for interview. I am from Louisiana. I had my finger print done at New orleans so I beleive my case is with new orleans office. Please suggest me what I can do to find out what is happening as calling USCIS is not a lot of help.

Just chill, you are right calling will not do anything, just go to INS website and check processing dates for your office, however it usually takes a bit longer than 6 months to get an interview, so relax!!! -

Hi Valery,
i had my interview in March 07 and I am on FBi check status. it may take a while, my friend in NY had interview in 2005 still no result. but some cases go faster.

The processing date of my local office is 19th july 2005 right now. I submitted my application on 6th Nov 2006. but I hope it moves faster. In answer to th question about FBI name check I want to say that its very rendom some get cleared in few days but I have seen people waiting for 2 years for that. Sometimes calling county office also helps.Comment
