  • Can she be stopped?

I married Venezuelan, after she hunted me down from chat room, threatened suicide, came looking for me (she was across country, tourist). I had health problems, she said if we marry, she would care for me. Violent temper,
she manipulated me, had me spend almost all me and mother's money on her and her family. After CGC, she split, had some man's baby, and we are divorcing. She has threatened me to the hilt. Said she would displace
my mother and I to the street, and ruin me forever. I heard from INS I must even buy her a house, if she wants it, for ten years. She is going on welfare, they say I must pay. I wrote INS alot. Told them how she had me lie, used me, my health (seizures) is bad, etc. They said I need her A#, I don't have, or papers, which she guarded. Can I go personally, request face to face with agent, and confess for immunity? Heard they sometimes grant immunity. Am DESPERATE! Any advice? Thank you
P.S. She is conditional status. We are married, still.
Am in North Texas, INS is overloaded...So much work,

    Can she be stopped?

In order to get the conditions removed you both must apply to the INS. So all you have to do is move to an apartment where she can't find you and wait. When your signature on the application they will deny it, her greencard will expire and then she becomes deportable.

Once she is out of the country you can file the divorce pares and you should be OK. Since she wont be in the US (and wont be allowed back in) she can't really show up to court and contest it so you should walk away clean.

If she deported immediately wait until 180 days after the GC Expires before before filing the divorce papers. That way she will have been out of status long enough to trigger a reentry ban, thus preventing her from remarrying and obtaining a New Immigrant Visa through some other poor sucker.

If she makes good on the suicide threat, though, you are off the hook completely.
