  • International travel while filing application for adjustement of status

I & my family are about about (priority date become current recently) to file for adjustment of status (currenly H1B).
We need to travel soon outside the US, and there is a risk that we will not have received the receipt notice prior to leaving US... may be even prior to coming back...
Are we going to have troubles to come bak to the states using our regular current valid H1B ?
From what I read so far and talking to our attorney, also it is strongly suggested to wait until we receive the AOS receipt notice before traveling and at least before coming back, it should not be a requirement and our H visa should be enough to get back....
Does anybody has info to share on this subject ?
    Thanks,
    Emmanuel

    Aplication for travel document!

The right form to travel outside from USA while AOS is in process is I-131 (aplication for travel document). Read this form and see if it refers your case.
