What's about June 1st deadline ?

Hi,

I keep hearing people want to apply for I-485 by June 1st. Is this some monthly apply date ?

Also, I believe there will be many people applying for I-485 and priority
dates moved recently. How will USCIS decide which applications to
process first ? Will people with earlier PD get preference or will it be
first come first served basis ?

Any replies appreciated.

fees r going up

ppl want to apply by june 1st because that was the proposed effective date of the fee increase. now its effective date is july 30, 2007, so get ur applications in ASAP!
