Hello,
I have an approved labor of April-2002. I also have my I-140 approved. After the priority dates advanced, I am now CURRENT and can apply for I-485. I have my H1 visa expiring in April-2009 (3 year extension after first 6 years).
I am getting married in Dec-2007. Is it a good idea to go ahead and file I-485 now (because of the fear that dates might retrogress shortly) and use my H1 to get a H4 for my wife in Nov-2007 and then add her to I-485 later. Is this a good idea ?
Can you pls. suggest what you think is a good idea. Due to job constraints, it would be very difficult to get leave for me before December for marriage.
