I 485 question

Hi everyone, our I 485 has been pending for 3 years now, we were told that our application has been caught in the FBI name check. Now we are planning to shift base to india sometime in the near future . I was wondering if there is any way to do switch my application to do counselor processing from india? Even if we had to do the last part of processing/filing for I 485 all over again, is there any way we can atleast monitor or file it from india. Because this is the last step, I thought it would be such a waste to forfiet the entire application since we are going back. Thanks for all your inputs.!
