My wife had her AOS interview on 4/4/07. At that time we were told to submit her original Birth Certificate (which the consulate lost) and that her status was still pending due to additional security checks. Does anyone know how much longer this can take??
The Immigration Officer also took her I-94 form from her passport and wrote something on her Visa. I did not realize that this was missing until we went to the SS Office. Does anyone know why they would take her I-94??
I included a letter when I sent in her Birth Certificate asking to explain why the I-94 was removed but I did not get a response.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this matter.
