My husband and I just came back from our interview and I thought I would post our experience here.
I was surprised how fast and simple everything went: basically 4 steps!
1) First we confirmed the information we had written on forms I-485 and I-130 such as names, addresses, dates, places, etc...
2) Then we were requested to provided the following paperwork: our passports, my I-94 and old H1B visa, joint tax return, bills in both our names, car, life and health insurances, car title in both our names and a letter from the Navy Commander acknowledging our marital life.
3) After that the officer made sure I had never been involved in any political groups, spying, prostitution, polygamy, arrests, drugs, etc...
4) And finally the immigration officer saw some pictures in our album with our families, friends and on vacation and trips and thanked us for everything.
That's it!
I was told by the officer that my card should be in the mail within two weeks from today and my passport was stamped.
I think the amount of paperwork that we submitted (I had built a huge binder along the last five months) made it all so fast and apparently easy.
Hope it helps anybody out there!!!
