Marriage Certificate Not Available for I-485
My husband got LC approved and PD is current per latest release. We are planning to file 140 and 485 together
We got married in India last year and do not have marriage certificate and never applied for one - we came to US on independent visas. How do we get it from here? When enquired back at India - it will take 1 month or so to stay and get. What other options do we have? We have invitation card, photo's etc. We stay in Bay Area, is there a way we get marriage registered here?? How and where? Any advice is appreciated.
Does Indian Consulate offer a certificate?
Do I get non-availability of marriage certificate letter and affidavit? - could some body forward me a sample?
Would using an affidavit delay case and decision making by immigration services?
