Apply I-485 Birth Certificate or (Affidivit with Non Availability Certificate)

Hi

I am going to apply for i-485,
i have birth certificate which is taken in 2005 but I was born in 1974
some of my friends are saying...as you are born in 1974 and as your
birth certificate was taken in yr 2005, it might cause problems (ins puts query on u)
to get the green card.
Is it right?
They are saying me to get Affidivits + non availability certificate now.
will it be a problem if I put my birth certificate....while applying for 485

not a problem. We had the same issue, and got the GC approved You just got the certificate later, It shows that you were born in 1974 not 2005 right.

In India it is not the norm to apply for BC at the time of birth because the school passing certificate is all that is required. Now the things are changing with schools requiring BC for admission in nursery.

Do i need to have birth certificate from the city where we were born or its fine if i take form the place where i am leaving now

Birth Certificate Issue (India)

My husband is applying for Green Card. Both our birth certificate dates donot match with the dates on the passport.

Can we both submit Non Availability Birth Certificate documents(along with sworn affidavits from parents)? Is it OK for both of us to not have the Birth Certificate?
Can the non availability birth certificate be from our place of residense and not from place of birth? What can be the format? Is it OK to have an affidavit on Rs. 100 stamp paper?
