filing I485 but family gone to india

My family went to India in May 2007 and now I got this news about current dates. My family has H4 and got visa appointment for July 24th > My all papers are complete we just need I94 when they will arrive>
My question is if I apply around 29 th July the dates will still be current??
Plesae advice???/

as long as the packet reaches the USCIS by july 30th it should be fine.

Normally the visa bulletin remains the same till the end of the month but it may change if the state dept decides it should. We will know more by mid July

thank you for your answer!!I ahve another question, my family renwed their H4 in usa 2 times.and after 3 years they went to india but they did have H4 stamp the very first time when they arrive, will their be any problem in getting VISA ? How much time do u think they will take to return the pasport ?

Depends on the consulate. If it is in Chennai, the consulate may not return the passport to UFS on the same day. So it might take couple of days.

In the other places like Mumbai, Delhi, I think they return the passport to VFS on the same day. So, they can go to VFS office in the evening and collect the passport personally by paying some extra fee.

Check with the VFS office in the place where your wife appearing for the visa.
