USCIS "Processing Times"

I recently filed I-130,I-485,I-765 + advanced parole document concurrently. (Receipt date of June 14th to be exact).

Now, my lawyer told me that all in all, it should take anywhere between 4-6 months for my case. However, when I looked at the dates on the UCSIS website for processing times, some of them are years behind!? Why is there such a discrepancy between what I am seeing on the internet and hearing from my lawyer, and what I'm seeing on the USCIS website?

What you are seeing on USCIS processing timings is correct.

Your lawyer may not be up to date on the timings. Nothing gets done 4-6 months with USCIS.

Actually I know several Canadians who received the green cards within 3 of 4 months, and pretty recently too.

Agree.. you may get your interview done within 4-6 months but there is "often" a longer period afterwards for the background check, security and FBI check.

Oh absolutely. I understand that if you manage to get your green card in 4 months that is not the norm at all. However, I don't think 6 months can be that much of a long shot if everything clears in good time and you aren't held back into name checks and security checks, correct? I don't know. I guess we will have to wait and see.
