Hi there, my mom and sis have been detained by immigration. They will be running court on tuesday. Well my mom will they said they don't know when my sister will for sure. Once upon a time theywere both legal and working. Then my father passed away and there went their chance for a residene. Now they say they are illegal here. I spoke to someone from immigration and he said that they had choices and that they might not have to be deported.Does anyone know what kind of choices they will have?? Is is you sign the paper and get deported or I'll deport you anyway? My mom said that an officer there told her that she will be deported on wed? But i just spoike to the other guy and he said that no one knws for sure, that the judge is the one to decide?? Has anyone been through this?

When you are dealing with a matter such as this, you should seek out legal advice/help. There is no way you are going to be able to do anything on your own without a lawyer and the longer you wait, the worse it may get. Call an immigration lawyer and explain to them the situation. They will decide whether they can help you or not, and what you can do.

Exactly! Sorry to hear about that situation. I couldnt imagine how stressful it must be.
Yes the lawyer is very necessary for this. When dealing with a lawyer, make sure you give him or her every bit of the facts that are involved as a good sharp lawyer has probably handled similar cases in the past and could really asess your situation.
This may be a high cost, but thats when you have to decide if it is worst staying here.. myself, I could probably just leave cause right now there is only one thing keeping me here and thats my spouse.
Hope it all works out for you.
