Question about I 485 filing with a H1 B stamping.

Hello All,

My priority date is current based on the July Visa Bulletin and based on yesterday's news I want to file my I 485.

I renewed by H1 B in December 2006 but I havent gotten my new H1 B stamped. I have an appointment in Halifax on August 14th but this will be too late.

Can I file My I 485 if my H1 B is not stamped ? My I 140 and Labor certification was done on the earlier H1 B, I have remained with the same employer all throughout.
