Dec 98 Priority date

I am having the priority date of Dec 98 ( 3 rd attempt of getting GC) and applied for I 485 in June 07. Is there any possibility of me getting GC after Oct 07 ? Do they actually give preference to my priority date ? Any inputs are really appreciated .
