Canadian with no passport/overstay in US

Oh another thing. Treble you asked if I was on Visa when I came to the States. Tell you the truth, I know nothing about that. All I know was, when I went through the border to the States, they didn't really ask or give me anything when I entered. They just asked what I was doing in the States and such and let me through. I really have no proof when or why I entered the States because simply, they didn't take any notes nor I don't think they made a record.

Well, I don't know what else to say really on this topic. You lawyer I guess will give you the final say. I would ask you though to read the immihelp link I gave you over again. In that information it says that a passport is necessary. Considering you were not on a visa prior to this, you just came to the US and stayed illegally for a very long time, I would assume they would like to see your passport. In a situation like yours, you need to have as much legitimacy as possible. Ask your lawyer.
