When to call INS

I was looking at "California Service Center Processing Time Report" dated 10/15/02, it says INS is Processing cases with these receipt notice dates: 11/19/01 for I-485.

My receipt Notice date is 11/01/01, but have not got any response from INS. What do I need to do? Should I call INS to get the details or I should wait for some more time?

Please advice.
