Now I am sure that the processing is based on RECEIPT DATE. I got in touch with my friend yesterday (C2) and he gave me the ff details:

RD 09/27/2002
ND 11/17/2002

Also, it was a typo on my part. It was actually RFE and not RFP I was referring to. For his RFE, here are the details:

1) Letter from employer
2) 3 months paystubs

I-485 Time Frame

I was stating a situation for a colleague of mine. He was the once who received an RFE.

As stated, his RD is 9/27/2001, got an RFE 10/15/2002. Overall, it was close to a year before his case was adjucated.

My RD is 10/9/2001. I'm still waiting for GC approval. I called up VSC last week and asked how come I see other people who got their approvals already after my receipt date. I was informed that this was a case to case basis and basically depends on the INS Officer handling my application (workload related). Furthermore the IIO stated that they were still technically processing Sept 2001 (???).

Ohh well. I guess I have to wait. Really depressing sometimes.

How long does it take after RFE

Hi there,
Can you pelase let me know if your friend has recieved an answer/approval from INS after he/she sent back the necessary documents requesed in the RFE. I recieved an RFE recently and sent back the docs that was requested as of Nov 01, 2002 to INS VSC. I am trying to get a time frame when possibly I might get an approval.
