  • Not received receipt number yet

    Hi,
My lawyer sent my I-485, 765 & AP applications to Texas Service center on July 24, 2007 by FedEx. As per FedEx tracking, it was delivered on July 25, 2007 (some person signed for it). I (i.e., my lawyer) have not received any receipt number yet nor have my checks been deposited. My lawyer's office says that as per USCIS, it may take as much as 90 days due to the current overload. I was wondering whether anyone else who filed recently (say in late July) has received any receipt notices.

    Thanks.

Please check the current receipting times using the 'USCIS receipting update' posted every week.

The last update was posted as on 8/17 and it would tell you the dates for which the receipt notices are being generated.

Wait for 2 weeks after the receipting date for Texas service center for your forms have passed and check if your checks and receipt notices have been received then.

Please be patient - since July and august have been months of too much volumes, your lawyer is correct - it might take 6 weeks to 10 weeks to get the receipt numbers generated

      Thanks,
That helps. It shows for Texas service center, the receipt dates are still about a month from the dates my applications were sent. So I will be more patient.
