485 filing - Does it matter which center it is filed?

My labor and 140 were filed in Center A (lets say Texas). 140 is still in process.
Can my 485 be filed in another center (say Vermont)?
My employer has offices in both the regions.

My employer tells me that after the retrogression, during July 17 to Aug 17, USCIS provided the provision that the 485 petition could be filed in any of the centers. Is that correct?

Will this delay my 485 application or worse (it will be returned as procedural error)?

You can't shop around for filing center.

You have to file according to the location of your job.
