I just had my I-485 interview in Los angeles. The officer did the oath and then he started to ask for the passports. we showed him our passports. Then he asked for the employment letter which we provided. After asking the usual questions relating to arrests and drugs, he looked at the copy of my birth certificate. He asked where was the orginal. I told him it was at home. He said can you get it and return at 1 pm. We returned at 1 pm where we were met by the security guard. He took my birth certificate to the officer and returned saying that he would be right out. When the officer came out he handed back the birth certificate and said you should be hearing from us in about two days. We questioned him if he need more information and he replied no. He said we should get a letter in two days. I feel that we didn't even finish the interview. We also asked him was there a approval. He said it will probably be approved in two days. My friend, from her experience, they say two days but they mean six to seven months. Any ideas why this happened?
