after interview I- 485 pending what does it mean

my wife and i had our I 485 INTERVIEW TODAY IN GARDEN CITY, at the end the officer said they have not recieved my background check result as yet, even though i already recieved my EAD and they wrote A **** **** * I-485 pending GCU. 9/5/07 their signature and told me i will recieve notice in mail what does this mean

that just means you have to wait till the FBI background check is done. it could take a while, but lets just hope your one of the lucky ones and it wont take too long.

thanks but my only worry is after all this wait can they still say we failed the interview, we are not worried about results of background check.

Don't worry

There is nothing we can do in this processing, except wait and possibly act on their responses if needed. Worrying will not help us and don't forget many applicants have one issue or a reason to keep waiting.

I wanted to know if the info pass was the reason why your CG was approved! Does that mean if you hadn't made the info pass you wouldn't have received it?
I've been waiting for three months now...
