PLease Help me .. Need urgent Help

Hi

I am going to file for I-485 and I-140. My passport has name wrong spelling for my father. My father name is PRATAP SINGH . but all my degrees are having PARTAP SINGH. Do you suggest, will it be any problem. Should I get changed before filling the forms. Please advice.
Also Which one should I fill out forms according to passprt spelling or degrees 's name . Please suggest me
