Important question after filing of I-485

Hi!! everyone,

I am a bit confused on this:

What does it mean that employer will not pay for H1 extension after filing I-485??

Does it mean:

1. That i will have to pay for my further H1 extensions.
2. Is it legal to pay for H1 extension by employee
3. Company will not file H1 extension after filing I-485
OR
3. Do i have to use EAD to work for the same employer.

i want to keep my H1 till i get greencard and thus this matter has put me in confusion.

Inputs will be appreciated.
