i recieved an approval notice for I-485 july 17, 2007. 2 months have pass and i havent recieved any welcome notice or green card yet. anybody with the same situation? i called up USCIS and told me they will send me a letter within 45 days regarding my case. any thoughts on this? im worried coz my ead expires on nov. should i renew my ead or wait for the response? thanks...

The approval notice for the I-485 contains the Green Card inside of it. I think you are mistaken. Check the letter you received and post what it says exactly here.
This is the order of letters you would receive:
1) I-130 Approval Notice.
2) Notice Welcoming the New Resident.
3) I-485 Approval Notice (including the Resident Card inside).

the mails states "the above application has been approved. Prior to recieving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics (i had my bimoetrics taken nov 2006.) processing (photo/fingerprints/signature). Please do not take any action at this time. If you are required to report for this processing, you will recieve another notice advising you of the date, time and location to appear.
if you have not recieved your permanent resident card or the above mentioned notice to appear for biometrics processing within 90 days, please call the this office at the number listed below.
i applied 140 and 485 concurrently.... just waiting for my green card. thanks. hope it be sent soon. thanks.....
