I-485 reciept acknowledgement

Hello friends,

i applied for my i-485, i-130 and i-765 simultaneously on sep 19. i wanted to know in how many days will i get the approval notice i.e the notice of action for my application. i married a citizen so i dont have to wait for an immgrant visa number. i think i am right. please correct me. i will also be going for my medical if they ask it right away.

P.S.PraetorianXI i would greatly appreciate ur inputs on this and to the other query that posted. u r really doing a great job by helping other people on these matters.

You were supposed to get your medical done (i-693) before you sent your forms and send it along with them, as it is required with the I-485.

Now, it will probably take about 3-6 weeks before you get the receipts so be patient. USCIS is a little delayed by the great amount of people who filed in July and August.

You will receive the receipts and then the biometrics appointments. Just be patient.

Medicals

thank u so much for the timely response. yeah i did not get the medicals done. i will do it as soon as possible. the question i had was shoud i wait for the receipts and then send the medical and the supporting I-864 (remember, u told me to get one) or should i send it now itself?

the other thing is whether each and every process of application is independent of itself( coz i submitted 3 applications) or is it like they are all dependent on each other. i really care about EAD coz green card will take its own sweet time.

get the medicals done and wait for a letter from USCIS asking you to submit them. Send the medicals ONLY when they send you that letter, send the letter back and the sealed i-693s.

applications are processed individually, in a way, where they each require their own evidence, fees, etc.

but if it there are deritatives, they will call you all to the interview at the same time probably.
