How to get ID, joint bank acct, without SS#? Is our other documentation solid?

Hi I am ne to the forum and my husband and I are just starting the AOS process. We haven't filed yet because I am waiting to get my tax info together, but we are starting to gather everything else we need. I am a little frustrated because of some of the trouble we are running into... some of the documentation that is required to verify our marriage is impossible to get... I can't add my husband to my bank account, my utility bills, or get him an id with our home address on it since he doesn't have a social security number.... What can we do in this situation? Are there any special exceptions I don't know about for this?

• We have our engagement and wedding pics (are these enough or do we need others?) - just got married in Sept.
• I may be able to add him onto a new or existing credit card
• we just moved to a new apt and he is listed as one of the tenants on the app but it is not reflected on the lease (Will this be a problem or can I just get a copy of the app from the landlord - or a certified statement from the landlord?)
• I have the W-2 letter from my employer
• also we just changed our address so mail will be coming for both of us at our new address (does the mail we take for verification need to be in both of our names?)
• Can an Internet service bill and cell phone bill act as a utility bill?

I am happy to have found this site as it is really useful and great to read about others' situations and experiences... Any of your feedback will be helpful.

I dont know how much this will help i also do not have ss# but my husband
did not have any trouble putting me on his bank account or credit card
all we did was show them my passport picture id try that. Also i was able
to get my driving licence the same way hope this helps?

You can try applying for a Drivers License using the NOA for the I-485, some have succeded.

You CAN open a bank account as a visitor, sign a W8 (you are not taxable, yet). Just showing your passport, visa, etc.
