Change state after 6 months.

Hi!! friends,

Just wanted to know if i could change my residence to another state within U.S with the branch of the current company who have applied I-140 & I-485 in the same job position after six months of completion on I-485 or is it that you have to stay in the same state (from where I-485) is applied till u get ur GC.

You do not have to stay in same state in order to process GC. Just file AR-11 within 10-days of address change (you can do it online also). If there is changes in service center (may due change in state), then it will take little time to approve/ interview as your current service center will have to move your case to new service center, where it will be in line as per there schedule. If these will not the case, then do not worry.
