visa retrogression and pending I-485

I have received an update from my lawyer regarding the visa retrogression coming back on December 2007. She said all pending EB3 I-485 will not be approved until the visa retrogression is over. Is this true. My priority date is January 6th, 2007. I have applied under EB3 (not India, China, Mexico or Philippines) for Adjustment of status in August 2007 and received the receipt notice.

only the PDs that are current according to visa bulletin are approvable so you might have to wait some time

as for EB3 PD for DEc is 15 OCT 01 for ROW where you belong so you do seem to be in for a long wait.
