  • GC approved while in India wtih an expired AP and valid L1 visa

Me and my spouse travelled to India last month (NOv) to get our L1/L2 stamped. We wanted to travel back to US on our valid L1/L2 and hence did not apply for AP. But, my GC got approved while I was in India and my spouse's GC is still not approved. My attorney said that, the day my(primary) GC is approved my L1 and my spouse's L2 gets cancelled and hence we cannot travel back on our L1/L2. I had someone send me my GC and travelled to US on my GC. But my spouse is still stuck in India waiting for his GC as he does not have a valid AP and his L2 is no more valid. We don't know how long it will take for his GC to come and how long he will have to wait there. Is anyone aware of any other means of coming into US in such a situation? Would really appreciate if someone can advise..Thanks a ton.

well I hate to tell you this, but since you travel without advance parole, is highly likely your spouse will not touch the United States ground. She is probably inadmissible. She must file a waiver of inadmissibility.
I hope i'm wrong and good luck
