After reading your questions and answers section on the July visa bulletin 2007, I am more confused than ever.
I was wondering if you could supply answers to some questions I have?
I did not file my I-485 concurrently with my I-140. Now that I am ready to file my I-485 I read that they are not taking any more applications since August 17 2007. Is that correct? If so, how long will I have to wait in order to apply?
If I file for I-485 and it is approved, how would that affect the status of my family members, if they are not eligible to file for it at the same time?
What is a visa number? How do I know if I and my family have or need one to petition for an I-845? I am on an H1B visa and my family are on H4. So, do my family members or I have to file I-130 before they can file for I-485?
What is a priority number? How does it apply to my case (needing to petition for I-485? My I-140 receipt has a received date number but not a priority number. The space is blank.
What is the typical processing time for an I-485 petition? I am in EB2 category and from Ireland.
I would also like to say thank you for your website. It did answer many other questions I had prior to finding it, that I was not able to find on the INS’s website.
